Kaplan University was founded in 1937 as the American Institute of Commerce before changing its name to Quest College. Kaplan, Inc. purchased Quest and renamed it Kaplan College in 2000. The name was officially changed to Kaplan University, when it began to offer graduate-level programs in 2004. In 2007, Concord Law School and Hamilton College merged with Kaplan University. Currently Kaplan serves over 48,000 students.

Kaplan University is predominately located in Iowa and Nebraska, but has campuses in South Florida, Chicago, and Phoenix.

Kaplan University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredits the university’s School of Nursing with national professional accreditation.

Scholarships Offered
