Keiser's eCampus Online offers programs designed to prepare you for a variety of marketable professions. The programs are developed by qualified faculty and staff to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. Classes are offered one class at a time every four weeks to allow you to reach your maximum learning potential without the added stress of balancing a multitude of classes and assignments with other aspects of your life. This approach provides better access to faculty to address your needs. Keiser University’s Online Division has been ranked number 10 out of 44 online colleges and universities in a 2009 report published by Online Education Database (OEDb). Keiser University was named the nationwide leader in producing the greatest number of graduates of Associate of Science in Health Professions and Related Sciences for the third year in a row, according to a Community College Week analysis of U. S. Department of Education data released June 2008. Also in 2008, Keiser University was ranked twenty-first in the U.S. for the number of associate degrees granted to Hispanic students. Keiser is also active in facilitating collaborative community partnerships with a variety of organizations and is involved in many constituencies and continuing education programs.

Keiser University was founded in 1977 by the Keiser Family under the name Keiser School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, receiving accreditation in 1980. In 1982, Keiser School was renamed Keiser Institute of Technology when computer and paralegal programs were added. The name was changed to Keiser College in 1986 when it began to offer associate degrees. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the college received additional accreditations and expanded to open additional campuses all over Florida. After the expansion and addition of programs – including the opening of the Keiser Graduate School – Keiser College became Keiser University in 2006. In 2008, Keiser celebrated its first graduate from the Spanish Language Latin Division, which was established in 2005 and believed to be the country’s first. Currently, Keiser University provides education to approximately 12,000 students through its 13 campuses and online division with over 40 degree programs.

Keiser University’s main campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with additional campuses throughout the state of Florida and worldwide.

Accreditation

Keiser University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor, and master degrees.

Scholarships Offered

Keiser University offers its own Keiser University Need-Based Scholarship for students who have an exceptional financial need. The needs are evaluated on an individual basis. Other private scholarships include: Access to Better Learning (ABLE) Grant, Florida Bright Future Scholarship, Ft. Lauderdale Jaycees High School Achievement Scholarships, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Scholarship, Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges Scholarship, Florida Association of Private Schools and Colleges Scholarship, and the Career College Association Scholarship. Keiser University also participates in the Prepaid College Plan and matches all Bright Futures Scholarships.

Financing Options

Keiser University participates in many federal and state financial aid programs such as Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Federal Direct Student Loan, Federal Family Education Loan, Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan, Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, Federal PLUS Loan, Federal Graduate PLUS Loan, Federal Perkins Loan, and Florida Student Assistance Grant. Keiser also participates in the Federal Work Study Program that enables students to acquire employment based on financial need. Keiser University also participates in the Military Reimbursement Program and is approved for Veteran training.

Credit Earning Options

Keiser University considers relevant transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions. Credit from institutions that are not regionally accredited may be granted on an individual course-by-course basis pending the approval of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Credits may also be granted based on military training and experience.
