Accounting for Managerial Decision Making at University of Phoenix
During this online course, students learn basic business accounting concepts for the purpose of managerial decision-making. A graduate level accounting course within the business and MBA program at the University of Phoenix, in the 'Accounting for Managerial Decision Making' course (ACC 529) managers and future managers will learn how to use standard accounting information, such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, budget reporting, income statements, etc. in order to monitor the health of a business and plan for its future success.
Further topics and concepts covered in this class include, but are not limited to, various internal analysis approaches, performance reporting, and changes in owner's equity. Basic concepts, as well as the language of accounting managerial accounting, including understanding the components of a balance sheet, will also be covered as part of the course. Students who successfully complete this class will feel prepared to competently use accounting information and accounting reports for the purpose of making sound strategic and financial decisions regarding the future of their organization.
