The Advanced Corporate Income Tax (ACC-583) is offered through the University of Phoenix. It is an online college course. This academic course will focus on the income tax system, as related to corporations, business, partnerships, and shareholders.
The student will be presented with the portions of tax law which surround corporations and shareholders during the Advanced Corporate Income Tax course. Some of the key aspects include: the formation, liquidation, and reorganization of corporations. It will also address how these aspects impact shareholders. The course will examine the taxation issues involved in partnerships, corporations, and S corporations. Basic tax planning, estate taxes, gift taxes, and research topics are also addressed and examined.
The following topics and objectives will be addressed during The Advanced Corporate Income Tax course: understanding the tax laws, research techniques, corporation and business entity taxability, tax administration, and practice, alternative minimum tax and personal holding company tax, gift and estate taxes, capital structure, earnings and profit, the rules and statutes of corporate reorganizations, dividend distribution, redemption, liquidations, taxability of partnerships and it's partners, and corporations and forms of business entities.
