The Advanced Topics in Financial Management (FIN 404) is an online college course offered by the University of Phoenix. This is a building course that takes previously learned accounting and finance knowledge to a higher level, while still integrating new concepts.
The Advanced Topics in Financial Management course will give the student an opportunity to incorporate their previously learned concepts, practices, and knowledge in finance and accounting. At the same time the student is learning contemporary business strategies. The student will also learn how to apply their previous learned knowledge to contemporary business strategy. The course will further improve upon financial decision making and problem solving skill knowledge. The student will have an opportunity to examine real life financial management scenarios, and then learn to apply the best practices to increase value for various types of organizations.
The topics and objectives for the Advanced Topics in Financial Management are: overview of advanced financial planning, cash flow and capitol management, financial plan implementation, financial plan evaluation, cash flow and capital management, optimal capital structure, financial communication and planning within the organization.
