Associate of Arts in Human Services Management at University of Phoenix
The Associate of Arts in Human Services Management (AA in Human Services Management) is a course available from The University of Phoenix Online which is targeted towards those looking to enter the human services market. It is a course ideally designed for persons interested in public service, human resources, or other situations in which the care and livelihoods of persons are of the greatest importance. There is an emphasis on the role of a human services worker, and an explanation of how human services workers fit into larger organizations.
Students will learn about public policy and how it applies to their job, along with necessary information technology required for them to do their job properly. Information regarding multicultural practices will also be provided, with emphasis on cultural sensitivities and avoiding and solving problems such as racism, sexism or other discrimination problems. Courses on proper financial management of persons, organizations and payrolls will also be provided. There are also courses on how to make proper, ethical decisions when many of the common problems involved in dealing with large, diverse groups of people arise.
The overall course will teach students how to create healthcare plans, procure and properly distribute funding and provide good human services management. This course is available as an online interactive course.
