Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at University of Phoenix
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology is a degree program offered by the University of Phoenix. It is a four year degree program offered to online students. The degree program focuses primarily on attaining and fine-tuning the knowledge and skills required successfully work in the field of Information Technology. Students will learn the fundamentals of both the information systems function and systems development. After completing the core courses, in the program, students will be able to choose one or more areas of focus. Then they will complete a variety of specialized courses allowing them to gain extra knowledge in the area of their choosing.
Upon completion of this degree program, students can enter the field of Information Technology, or choose to continue their education with graduate work. The standards put forth by this degree program are consistent with those set by the Association for Computing Machinery, the Association for Information Systems, and the Association of Information Technology Professionals.
