Business Literature at University of Phoenix

The University of Phoenix is offering the Business Literature (LIT 320) course. By utilizing prose, commentaries, poems, fiction, essays and other literature, students gain a perspective of the business world. Only those pieces, which are reflective of a realistic work environment are chosen for classroom discussions. The method of study during this class will be similar to traditional literature study courses in which reading, discussion, analysis and open theory are the tools of learning.

The aim of this course is to assist the students in coming to their own personal conclusions relating to the struggle that exists in the workforce between self worth and enterprise identity. Students will explore the social relationships in the business world through the literature as well as identify the powers of opinion that dominate and control the social justice and/or injustice that takes place in the workforce community. Perspective is a key to this understanding as well as diversity and objectives of the individual versus the business.
