When we get a lot of questions on a certain subject, we write a Special Report on it. Unlike many books, DegreeFinders Special Reports are not puffed up with hundreds of pages of fluff. They contain only streamlined on-target information tailored to the needs of our readers.
Now available!
The bulk of our questions can be lumped into two categories:
(1)What is distance learning? and (2) what is accreditation about?
DegreeFinders(sm) has condensed volumes of research into two Special Reports for busy working adults called:
- What is distance learning and how can I know if it is really for me?
- What is accreditation and how important is it?
Clients of the DegreeFinders(sm) Research and Consulting Service have asked if we would consider making our consulting reports available in an electronic format rather than hardcopy. This has worked well for us because reports 1) get there faster; 2) cost less in shipping and handling, 3) cost less to publish, and 4) they are far more portable than bulky print copies, allowing clients to save them on disk and take them along wherever they go.
This has been so popular that DegreeFinders(sm) now publishes its Special Reports as PDF files. This makes the DegreeFinders(sm) Special Reports available within minutes after the purchase, rather than days or weeks. And we are able to offer these very special reports for only $8.50 total!
Coming soon!
We get nearly as many letters asking (1)What is is a diploma mill? (2) How do I know if a school is legitmate? (3) Are there legitimate schools that should still be avoided?
DegreeFinders(sm) answers these and many related questions in a research report tentatively called:
- Diploma mill: recognizing the red flags
Based on the numerous letters we receive asking about some really risky schools, I have decided that DegreeFinders(sm) needs to produce another of its Special Reports. I am amazed by how many people pick really bad schools. As I have explained elsewhere, we will not come right out and call any school a diploma mill because the laws are set up against us. A diploma mill can sue us for calling it a diploma mill even if they are one! Insurance companies are quick to settle libel suits rather than fight expensive court battles. And settling only makes the school look legitimate!
We take a different approach. We just report the facts. We describe situations that may be cause for concern in a potential student. Each concern indicates an increased risk that the degree won't be accepted for purposes for which such credentials are normally used. Multiple concerns make enrollment too risky to consider.
You'll definitely want this one!
