Anthem College Online is a division of the Phoenix campus and it is committed to providing online programs that offer flexibility to all types of students. It prides itself on providing an excellent learning experience that emphasizes technology and modern learning. Online students are able to access courses anytime from anywhere with an Internet connection. Online courses use multimedia technology such as audio, graphics, and animation to provide a rich educational experience. The asynchronous Learning Management System is interactive and includes coursework, activities, examinations, discussion forums, and other important information and tools. The online discussion forums are available 24 hours a day and students are able to post questions and comments related to course content and connect with fellow classmates and instructors. The interactivity of the discussion forums is considered the hands-on part of the online programs. The online platform also uses computer simulations, video streams, and personalized communication tools to engage students. Courses provide schedules in one-week increments that run from Monday to Sunday. Students are required to regularly participate in online discussions and complete learning activities as a way to document attendance.
Anthem College Online offers Associate of Science degree programs in accounting technology, business management, criminal justice, healthcare management, medical billing and coding, and paralegal. Bachelor of Science degree programs are available in business management, criminal justice, and healthcare management. A diploma program is offered in medical office administration. Additionally, an Associate of Science degree completion program is available in medical assisting and a Bachelor of Science degree completion program is available in healthcare management. Anthem College in Phoenix, Arizona was founded in 1965 as the Electronics Institute of Arizona. In 1982, High-Tech Institute purchased the school and acquired The Bryman School of Arizona in 1989. High-Tech Institute acquired Allied College of St. Louis, Missouri in 2003. Also in 2003, High-Tech Institute began offering online programs through Anthem College Online. High-Tech Institute-Phoenix changes its name to Anthem College in 2007. Now Anthem College Online is an online division of Anthem College Phoenix. Additionally, the Anthem Educational Group operates 24 campuses around the country.
Accreditation
The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accredits Anthem College as a whole. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools accredits the Phoenix campus and online division to grant diplomas, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. Different accrediting boards such as the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, and Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and School also accredit other campus locations.

Financing Options
Anthem College participates in various financial aid programs such as the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG), and Federal Direct PLUS Loans. Private loans are also accepts and Anthem College offers its own Institutional Loan Program that enables students to work out an affordable payment plan. Additionally, Anthem College offers a reduced Military Tuition Rate for active duty military or armed forces veterans and their dependents.
Credit Earning Options
Anthem College grants credits for coursework previously completed at another institution. All courses must have a grade of a C or better. Students are able to transfer up to 75 percent of credits required by a particular program. For courses with laboratory or clinical components, a skills assessment may be required. The college also grants credits for military experiences. It also grants credits for examinations such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES). Students are required to submit official transcripts and any other supporting documents.
