The Ohio Board of Regents endorses all of Tiffin University’s online degree programs. The programs offer real results with the use of academic resources, internships, and connections with employers and companies. The online courses are very flexible and work around your busy schedule. You can set your own schedule and complete coursework on your own time.

Tiffin University was founded in 1888 in Tiffin, Ohio. It was originally part of Heidelberg College as the college’s business school. Tiffin University struggled with finances and enrollment throughout its history, but during the 1990s it reached a period of growth due to a nationally-ranked business program. Since it’s founding, the University has fostered a student-centered learning environment that provides a great sense of community for its students, faculty, and staff. Today, Tiffin University advertises itself as one of the most cost effective private schools in Ohio. Currently, Tiffin University has over 2,700 students with over 25 majors that are offered on campus and online.

Accreditation

Tiffin University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Master of Business Administration program is accredited by the American Collegiate Business Schools.

Schools of Education

The School of Arts and Sciences is focused on providing essential skills and knowledge for the work environment or graduate programs. The school offers majors in many different areas such as Communication, English, History, Law, and Integrated Language Arts. The school also encompasses most of the General Education Core courses.

The School of Business prepares students for professional, leadership, and management positions in profit and nonprofit private and public organizations. The school focuses on the development of the critical thinking, communication, technical, and analytical skills necessary to pursue positions in successful global organizations. The school offers associate, bachelor, and master degree programs in areas such as business administration, accounting, information technology, marketing, and human resource management.

The School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences guides students with high quality programs to lead successful careers in criminal justice and the social sciences. The school offers bachelor degrees with a variety of majors such as corrections, forensic psychology, forensic science, homeland security and terrorism, psychology and government, and law enforcement. The school uses an internship program to allow students to gain practical experience and give them a competitive edge in the job market.

Scholarships Offered

Tiffin University offers many scholarships based on academic merit and financial need. Some of the scholarships are: Fraternal Order of Police Scholarship, Lambda Alpha Epsilon Scholarship, Communication Program Scholarship, Transfer Scholarship, English Major Scholarship, and Zahn Scholarship. Tiffin also offers athletic, activity, academic, competition scholarships. Outside scholarships are also available.

Financing Options

Tiffin University participates in many federal financial programs such as Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized), Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) Loans, and Graduate PLUS Loans. State grants and scholarships are available as well. Private Alternative Loans are also available. Tiffin University also offers the Tiffin University Payment Plan.

Credit Earning Options

Tiffin University strives to help students transfer all of their eligible credits from other colleges and universities. Each student is evaluated on an individual basis. You can also earn credit from College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Defense Activity for Non-traditional Education Support (DANTES) examinations.
