Store Formula’s method involves working hand in hand with commerce HQ and dropshipping. The combination of the two aims to create a self-sufficient dropshipping system for your store.
It’s perfect for the newbie who wants to start an entrepreneurial journey with e Commerce and make money full time.
And for someone who has no experience nor background on dropshipping, can this program really deliver when failure rate in dropshipping is rather high?
But I have to say, its coverage on traffic sources is pretty limited. It would have been more helpful if they covered more.
Who Is Jon Mac?
Jon Mac is a successful marketing strategist, mentor, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur who is behind several online courses, books, and platforms. Store Formula, Formula, and CommerceHQ are some of them.
He claims that the reason why he does what he does is because he wants to contribute to his students success – kinda like paying it forward.
Then again, that could just be another sales tactic to draw potential subscribers.
Also, Jon Mac does not have a large following on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms and channels which I find odd. Most dropshipping course creators boast of a large social media presence which obviously enhances their credibility and authenticity to potential users.

Store Formula, or also known as Store Formula 3, is an online course that uses dropshipping and CommerceHQ (which Jon Mac co-founded) to employ different methods in making money through an online store.
Jon Mac, through his Commerce HQ platform, is essentially trying to compete with Shopify.
The course will be carried out in several formats: Ultra HD videos, webinars, mp3 recordings, and transcripts.
It’s important to emphasize, as I’ve mentioned previously, that this course focuses on dropshipping and assumes that the dropshipping is within the United States only.
What To Expect In This Course
Store Formula is a step by step video instruction on drop shipping spread out in a 4-week course outline, 53 videos to be exact that run for a total of 9 hours and 17 minutes.
Store Formula is perfect for anyone who is a newcomer in eCommerce. It promises to help you build your online store from the ground up.
The method is done in a step by step fashion which I think is really great for someone who is not familiar with dropshipping.
What’s great about its design and structure is that where there is internet connection, it is accessible anywhere via a mobile device or desktop. More importantly, it’s updated regularly which I think is very crucial when it comes to running an online business.
When you become a member of Store Formula, you automatically gain access to CommerceHQ which is another course by Jon Mac that tries to mimic the functions of Shopify.

The Welcome video gives you an introduction to the course, pretty much what to expect in the entire program.
Jon also introduces himself briefly and says that he created the course for these two:
- For people who have zero knowledge on eCommerce, and
- For people with eCommerce businesses that are currently up and running who want to up the ante
Week 1: Build
Total Video Length: 2 hours & 37 minutes (10 modules)
Week 1 is all about helping you shift to the “right mindset” and quickly set up your Commerce HQ stores.
Mindset is central if you should become successful in eCommerce, so this part is something I’d like to commend them for.
Jon Mac’s alternative platform to Shopify, Commerce HQ, carries all that you need to put up an online store with high conversion rates.
It has several different apps and themes to choose from, and you create up to 6 online stores for one solid year.
Jon suggests that you begin with a general store, then when you find some winning products, you get to learn next how these can be added to Commerce HQ. And down the line, you will learn how to build your niche stores too.
Commerce HQ is a pretty straightforward tool that’s easy to use by anyone, even a newcomer. As a matter of fact, it’s so easy to set up that you can launch it within 24 hours – sometimes even less!
As expected, this is where some issues circle around the Shopify and Commerce HQ platforms. Presumably, the latter is supposed to be more streamlined than Shopify.
But since I don’t intend to put up a dropshipping store anytime soon, I have not tried Commerce HQ yet.
If you encounter any glitch or issue, Jon Mac Store Formula has a decent support team that addresses your concern through their email client support system.
You should expect though that majority of the modules talks about the right mindset. Being a business coach himself, this is kinda expected.

Week 2: Select

Week 2, as the title implies, is all about finding the winning products for your Commerce HQ store.
Jon shares that reinventing the wheel in this type of business is risky so he recommends to go for proven products in the market. Here, he shows you exactly how to find them through Facebook feeds.
Additionally, Mac Store Formula uses a unique software that enables you to go through all active ads on Facebook. And this makes identifying winning products so easy.
Jon Mac also highlights the fact that you can make 6 figures a month with only one product per store.
Other equally important topics he covers here are profit margin and pricing for your products.
Week 3: Launch

Week 3 of Store Formula focuses heavily on Facebook Ads.
According to Jon, Facebook is key to quickly advance your eCommerce business, claiming that they cracked the code on how to effectively use Facebook Ads. And if you don’t know this, you’ll be missing out on a lot of money.
This module walks you through the step by step process on how to put up and run a successful Ad campaign with the use of Jon’s formula.
Week 4: Outsource
Total Video Length: 1 hour & 29 minutes
Week 4 is all about outsourcing.
Here, Jon teaches you the importance of building your own team so that you can realize the “dream lifestyle” you want. After all, this is where you should arrive in your entrepreneurial journey.
With a team, your online store can run with the needed support without you micro-managing the operations.
By doing this, you get more time. And more time means you get to focus on other stuff that you also want to do or pursue.
Jon Mac recommends to hire people for the following:

- For launching ads
- For project management
The problem with this though is that he isn’t completely clear on the how to’s of these suggestions. If the students are newbies, they definitely need more concrete guidance than just talking about it vaguely.
I could think of a dozen of other things that he could have added here.

Training Program Store Formula Review:Is It A Worthwhile Course? Can You Make Money From It?
Judging by the students success stories and testimonials you find on their website, it seems that it is!
But we all know that we can’t be entirely sure about these testimonials, simply because there is no way to verify if they have been manipulated and faked.
And then of course, it could be a part of an CommerceHQ affiliate program for all you know.

So, is Store Formula a scam?
Not technically. You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as Jon Mac makes it sound.
There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – you need to do a ton of volume to make any real money.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.
But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months, $3-5k in the hole on ads (because that whole “get started with $5 a day” thing is total BS) and then your reward is 15% profit on a $12 product (which comes out to $1.80), it’s not really worth it.
