Starting A Print On Demand Business With Tatiana James

If you’re looking for information about building an eCom business on a shoe-string budget, than Tatiana James and her YouTube channel might be what you need.

“That’s right,” she says, “we’re talking about print on demand dropshipping. Where you can sell things like sweatshirts, hats, socks, iPhone cases, all kinds of different merch, on your website. Without ever having to source anything, without ever having to speak to a manufacturer, place an inventory order, or fulfill orders yourself.”

Well, let’s pull back the curtain on her program to see if it’s all she makes it out to be…

This Starting A Print On Demand Business With Tatiana James review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

The reason why Print On Demand is so popular is that you really don’t need a whole lot of money to get started… contrary to Amazon FBA, when you need to order quite a bit of inventory up front with no guarantee of getting those products sold.

The main difference with POD and FBA is that you only need to pay for the product once the order has been placed.  This is exactly what Tatiana did for years to go along with her private label brand.  She would find inspirational quotes and put them on items like:

  • T-shirts
  • Tank Tops
  • Baby Onesies
  • Coffee Cups
  • Sports Bottles

And she made a killing.  Her husband, Stefan, saw the money she was making and started doing POD to help compliment his Project Life Mastery brand.

Of course, Tatiana doesn’t do this so much anymore… but she says it’s still pretty easy to get started.  Basically, you just create a website, get traffic, and fulfill your orders.  Beyond that, you can also partner with a 3rd party to do all the fulfillment.  Tatiana suggests looking into Printful.

Printful is a dropshipping company that’s totally white label. It’s also:

  • Absolutely FREE to use
  • They offer world-wide shipping
  • They provide printing, embroidering, and engraving
  • You can print on over 300 quality products
  • You can use different platforms like Shopify and Wix

She shows off various Printful free product samples in her video, including an incredibly soft hoodie, a cap, as well as some joggers all of which have a charming little “be nice” emblem on them. I must add, the quality appeared to be exceptional. Another advantage of Printful is that there are no order minimums.

They also feature a built-in design studio that is incredibly user-friendly, even if you aren’t very tech-savvy. You may, of course, use them just to order something amazing for yourself or someone you care about (they aren’t limited to POD).

Visit Printful and have a look at what they have to offer. You are not restricted to apparel, as you will see. There’s stuff like:

  • face masks
  • duffel bags
  • jewelry
  • throw pillows
  • key chains
  • beach towels
  • Aprons

…and tons of other things that you may not have thought about. Printful has warehouses all around the world, which helps to reduce shipping times.

They can also help you with specialized branding, such as for packaging and inserts. Tatiana, unsurprisingly, is a fan. But, remember, she’s also getting paid by them, so keep that in mind. You could check out other companies like:

  • Printify
  • CustomCat
  • TeeLaunch
  • Gooten

If you use Printful, however, join Tatiana as she demonstrates how to customize your print on demand goods using their web-based designer. Rachel Rofe’s Low-Hanging System is perhaps the most popular print on demand program.

Just so you know, her favorite platform is Etsy. She also has a number of excellent YouTube videos and websites that you can resource for free. If you’re debating spending your money to have Rachel coach you, you should take a look at what we have to say about her.

Now, I do want to tell you that this business isn’t easy.  For instance, what if you get started but didn’t follow Tatiana’s advice.  Well, the biggest obstacle you will face is getting customers to your site.  Then you need to persuade them to buy from you.  So how do you do this without blowing your budget on PPC ads or churning out content 24/7?

I suppose you could jump on platforms like Etsy or Amazon… but that’s not free either.  Plus there are a lot of rules to follow when using them, not to mention the fees you have to pay.  Before making your final decision, maybe you should check out our alternative below…
